Alluvium
The Alluvium is a type of soil occuring near rivers or small flowing waters. Because of the flowing water new nutrients are always washed ashore and sucked for a fertile type of soil.
Billabong
A Billabong is a pond, that doesn't get any new influx in the dry-time, and doesn't have any drain. The water "stands" and mybe not exchanged within several months. Only at the next rain-time, new water adds over the previously dried up riverbeds. A Billabong can be important für plants and animals.
The term Billabong is originated in the language of the Wiradhuri a group of the Australian natives in New South Wales.
Contact Art
The Contact Art is a kind of painting. It shows contacts to peoples of other cultures like the Europeans.
Mountain-Barrier
A mountain-barrier is a limit, which keep back the clouds nationwide and provide the wind of averted page dryness on it.
Island-Mountain
An island-mountain is a mountain, that projects atypically from a level. Its flora deviates from the surroundings.
Laterite
The Laterite is a kind of soil, being very sterile, because it hardly contains nutrients.
Mediterran Climate
The Mediterranean climate is marked through mild rainfallrich winters and hot dry summers. The name is derivative of the climate of the Mediterranean space, but this type of the climate is found also in Australia.
McPherson Farm
From this farm Ludwig Leichhardt starts an expedition in 1848 westward Perth. The McPherson is located near Brisbane. The exact place is unknown for me. It is somewhere of this map:

Ocker
To the manufacture of red and yellow color, it became harden from the natives for paintings and used loamy earth with hydrates of ferric-oxide. Additionally, these materials contain religious elements. Ocher was from high value, since it was traded and transported over thousands of kilometers.
Salt Lake
A saltlake is built if more water evaporates than falls as rain. The adding of the minerals are deposited, cannot drain. It constantly increases it salt content.
Winterrain
The winterrain is the rainfall in the winter months. We speak of winterrain in the context of the Mediterran Climate.
