General Situation

Transmitter at Langenberg, Germany

Unfortunately, the television-program from Australia is not directly available at overseas. The same is problem is the other way round, the television program from Europe is not directly available in Australia. The main-problem is the earth curvature so that the requested satellites are below the horizons and cannot be headed with a satellite-antenna. Another problem is the forwarding of the programs via other satellites. Consequently it would be technically possible to distribute a live-program over the globe, but then, there are still the people with all the commercial interests. The costs of licences are to high because of this licences are bought only limited for small regional areas.
